Which quality setting should I use?

80% is a good default for photos on the web. Below 60% you will start to see blocking in flat areas and around text.

Does compression change the image dimensions?

No. Pixel dimensions are preserved — use the Resize Image tool if you also want smaller dimensions.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
